Principal's Message

March, 2025

Hello Resnik Families,

I can’t believe we are heading into the end of our
school year already. As we continue into the school
year, we reflect on the progress made so far and
look forward to what’s ahead. This quarter, we’re
excited about the opportunities for growth and
achievement, both academically and personally, for
our students.

Our building i-Ready reading and math growth
highlighted above average mid-year growth in both
subject areas. We have celebrated countless Star
Readers, over 100 Shining Stars were recognized for
their outstanding demonstrations of our learner
profile attributes, and more than 14,000 PBIS
tickets have been earned by students towards their
classroom rewards and goals for specifically being
recognized as caring, principled, thinkers. To
learn more about these areas, continue to read
through the newsletter as we take a deeper
look at our International Baccalaureate, PBIS,
and attendance programs!

Thank you for your continued support in
making this a successful year for all of our
students. We look forward to continuing our
journey through the second quarter and
beyond!

October, 2024

Resnik Families,

We have had a wonderful and eventful start to our school year!

During our first few weeks, scholars have been learning about behavior expectations as essential agreements in the classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, along with arrival and dismissal procedures.

We had our first PBIS behavior fair highlighting each of these areas, and rolling out our new school wide Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports tickets.

Scholars have also practiced safety drills such as fire drills, lockdown procedures, and tornado drills. It was wonderful seeing so many of you at our Father Walk and Interim pick-up conference night.

Scholars have also completed their beginning of the year i-Ready assessments in reading and math, and students in grades 1-3 have completed literacy screeners. Teachers use this information to provide specific and ongoing reading intervention and enrichment. The best supports for this at home is reading to and with your scholar nightly for 15-20 minutes. Reading aloud to students, even if they are reading on their own, sparks interest and enhances vocabulary, It has been a busy start to the year and we are all looking forward to continuing to provide quality instruction in a positive environment.
