Resnik Our Families Are Shining Stars Too! I often share the wonderful thinking and action the students at Resnik accomplish, but in this edition, I want to thank all of YOU, our wonderful families, that work so hard to support the work happening at Resnik. Families, thank you for showing that you also follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) Learner Profile by:
 Being part of our PTA that provides so many wonderful enriching activities for the students in our school. (Caring and Reflective)
 Getting your children to school on time, letting them know the importance YOU place on their education. (Principled)
 Helping with homework and school projects (Knowledgeable and Inquirers)
 Communicating with your child’s teacher when you have a concern so that we all work together. (Communicators)
 Helping your child problem-solve when they come home from school frustrated about something that happened. (Thinkers)  Understanding that education is changing and that school may look a little different from when you went to school. (Open-minded)
 Providing fun family time for your children so they have time to play and explore outside the school day. (Balanced)  Recording messages on the family FlipGrid inviting us to your family celebrations and recording words of encouragement for our school morning announcements (Risk-Taker) You help show by example, the same skills we reinforce every day to the students at Resnik CLC. It does take a village- thank you for being part of our village!
Speaking of working together…….

Encourage 2022 A special thank you to the families that have recorded a message to encourage our students these last few weeks of the school year, especially with the end of the year testing happening. When asked what they think of the recorded messages from parents, one student responded, “It gives people courage to never give up.” The students so appreciate these messages. We still have a few more that have been recorded that need to be added to announcements, so if you have recorded and haven’t heard from your child that they heard it, it will be on soon. There is still a chance if you want to record a message to our Resnik Shining Stars. Please let us know how proud you are of ALL of our students, and then feel free to give a special little shout-out to your very own shining star. If you still want to participate: Directions for accessing FlipGrid On any device, go to flipgrid.com or download the free Flipgrid app to your phone.
